Let’s just begin by stating the facts: Dodge is pretty damn good at making commercials that consumers want to watch…lest we forget the “invisible monkey” commercial (a comeback response after the original version was met with a heavy stream of outrage from animal advocates). Dodge’s response was witty and clever. This time around, Dodge has utilized Ron Burgundy (Anchorman actor Will Ferrell) to tell you all about the 2013 Durango’s MPG and glove box. You know – the important stuff.
There are a whole slew of the commercials on Dodge’s YouTube channel, including a comically self-insulting and sarcastic retort to a Twitter post by the Breeders’ Cup disputing Dodge’s perception of horsepower. Apparently one horsepower is not actually the power of one horse. Go figure.
And did you know that the Durango’s awesome two turkey sandwich-holding glove box comes standard? Yes, you read right. In case you didn’t know, Ron Burgundy is here to tell you all about it.
