Mopar racers: Have you ever needed to change the camshaft in your smallblock V8 while at the track, and you didn't want to disturb your oil pan seal---and you didn't have a lot of time between rounds to make the change?
That's why this new two-piece timing chain cover from Mancini Racing is for you (and your LA or Magnum smallblock)...come on in for more info...
Now available from Mancini Racing: This trick billet two-piece timing chain cover, which fits your LA-series smallblock or later Magnum 5.2L or 5.9L V8.
Designed, engineered and made for Mancini Racing by by AR Engineering, it's CNC-machined from billet aluminum and is an inch-and-a-half shorter than a stock cover, which gives you extra room in tight engine compartments.
The cover's two-piece construction enables you to change your camshaft without disturbing the oil pan seal (something that happens when you try this with a one-piece timing chain cover). That's thanks to a special engine plate that bolts right on the cover, which lets you change your cam--and remove your water pump--without removing that engine plate. (A perfect between-rounds time-saver is ever there was one!) It's also available with AN adapter blocks, if you're running a remote water pump.
It fits the LA-series 318, 340 and 360 smallblocks, as well as the '90s-vintage 5.2L and 5.9L Magnum V8s (which may need a dab of RTV silicone when you install it, as the oil pan fitment is different than on the LA-series engines.)
