It's no surprise that classic Mopars are getting harder and harder to find, but occasionally deals are still out there to be had. For fun, we often check out local classified ads or websites like craigslist to see what's available, and you'll be surprised what we found.
Just down the road from our Tampa, Florida office, we found a cool '67 Dodge A-100 pickup for sale. The truck looked a little rusty, but it was mostly there and unmolested, so we checked it out. I've always wanted one of these trucks, likely because I saw the "Little Red Wagon" wheelstander at the track as a kid, so I negotiated a fair price and loaded it on the trailer. Check out the Hidden Treasures section of an upcoming issue of Mopar Muscle to see all the details of the truck and the purchase.
I know Randy probably won't let me do any tech articles on it since we don't feature many trucks in Mopar Muscle, but I had to have it. If nothing else, I'll get the Slant-6 running and use it to take parts to and from the machine shop. And, it does prove that for $1000 or less you can still buy a cool, rare, and unique Mopar.
