On our second day of testing, our 2010 Dodge Challenger goes 9's in the quarter mile on pump gas!
On February second we took our 2010 Dodge Challenger to Auto Plus Raceway in Gainesville, Florida for our second test session with the car. We really only made minor adjustments, and had gone ten seconds flat during our first test session with the car. During our second session the weather was a little warmer, but we didn't have the headwind we had the first day we had the car at the track. After a shakedown run, driver Rick Mendito took our project Challenger on a series of nine second passes down the quarter mile, clocking a top speed of some 137 mph in the quarter mile. This has been a great car, and we thank everyone who helped with it. Be sure to check out the details in Mopar Muscle Magazine and Mopar Now, and we're sure you'll be impressed that this pump gas late-model Hemi took our nearly 3300 pound Challenger into the single digits. We're glad Rick is having fun with this car, and be sure to look for him at the division 2 NHRA races this season!
