The time has finally come when police forces are beginning to decommission their fleet of Dodge police cars, and we're starting to see more of these cars at city, county, and state auctions. Knowing how much fun Associate Editor Ross has had with his black Charger police car, when I saw this white one for sale during a trip to North Carolina I had to pick it up. Given the extra heavy duty performance goodies these cars are equipped with, and the fact that most are powered by a 5.7 Hemi engine just like R/T models, these are some of the best performing Mopars for the money today. We've upgraded Scott's car over the past several years, but since his Charger serves as his daily driver and only transportation there's only so much we can do to it. The white Charger, however, is destined to be upgraded with a variety of go fast goodies and downtime or reliability isn't really as much of a concern since I have other cars I can drive around. Let us know what you think of our latest project, we're considering our options for this car and plan to build it into a really fast street car.
See you at the track,
Dave
