You've got to say this about SEMA: Not only are its members hands-on automotive enthusiasts, but so is its top brass.
Case in point: The new Bonneville 200 MPH Club member seen here. It's SEMA's General Counsel Russ Deane, who broke the double-century mark on the Salt piloting a modified Mopar.
Come on in for more...
Russ Deane, General Counsel at SEMA, recently became a member of the Bonneville 200 MPH Club and, in the process, set a class record on the Salt.
Deane's 226.574 mph clocking his Dodge Neon SRT4 at this year's Bonneville Speed Week set a new Class F/Production Supercharged world land speed mark, besting the previous F/PS class record of 224.044 mph.
Deane and his Hinckley Automotive race team includes Jim Hinckley, Dave Harris (chief), Craig Ohlson, Camel Joe George, Troy Cheney, Stuart Gosswein and Jim Hinckley Jr.
