With the car on the four-wheel scales at Razor's Edge Motorsports, Paul and the crew have already begun cutting unneccessary pieces from our body in white Challenger. With the steel dollies installed on the car, the weight was 1217 pounds before trimming anything. Yesterday, the Razor's Edge crew removed the visor mounts, rear bumper support (21 lbs by itself), the front bumper support, hood catch, and rear seat support plate, getting the car down to 1176 pounds. Next, the hood hinges were ditched as well as the trunk hinges, which brought the total weigh to 1170 pounds, shaving 47 pounds from our starting point. The diet is resuming today, and we'll keep you posted on our progress!
