George J. Notaras, MotoMan Host and Producer
George J. Notaras was born with an addiction to cars passed on by his rocket scientist father. Growing up in New York, George followed two passions--cars and comedy. During his university years, he took an internship at BMW in Germany building cars. Back in the US, he realized he needed a way to finance his car habit, so he put his comedy
aspirations temporarily on hold, and got in on technology before the boom His tech career started at Apple, and then took him to England to help invent ‘location based services,’ which today are known as Apps.
After years of tech, George got back to his passion of comedy in the small clubs of L.A. that were more like group therapy than comedy, and worked his way to The Comedy Store. Once there, he was offered a writing gig, and when asked what he wanted to write about--his answer: Cars. MotoMan was born from George’s comedy--even down to the signature pocket square--and the need to go all the places he wanted to go as a car guy but couldn’t.
Today, in addition to the adventures, George introduces the viewer to the people shaping the car world – guests like Ralph Gilles and Bob Lutz – and telling their stories as a way to inspire viewers to find their passion
early in life.
