Chrysler Group LLC announced earlier this week that November 2013 sales numbers are the best for the month of November since 2007, and rose an entire 16-percent over last November’s sales, with a total of 142,275 units sold. November 2012 saw 122,565 new vehicles sold. The Dodge brand in particular had a sales increase of 4-percent and celebrated its 30th-consecutive month of year-over-year sales gains.
So how did Dodge performance vehicles do in the grand scheme of things? Dodge Charger sales increased by 11-percent (also best November sales since 2007). Next year’s performance car sales should be even better, thanks to the addition of the new 2014 Dodge Charger and Challenger 100th Anniversary Editions, which arrive early in the year. Meanwhile, the Jeep brand has been a serious contributor to this year’s sales numbers.
"Our all-new Jeep Cherokee is off to a terrific start with more than 10,169 units sold in its first full month on sale,” said Reid Bigland, Head of U.S. Sales. “Our launch emphasis on Jeep Cherokee quality is now being rewarded with brisk sales and helping Chrysler Group achieve our 44th-consecutive month of year-over-year sales growth.”
While none of our favorite performance Dodges set records this past month, four other Chrysler vehicles did: Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Patriot, Dodge Dart, and Ram Cargo van.
