Mention the name "Doug's Headers" to anyone who's into high-performance Mopars, and they'll tell you about the exhaust headers that came from Doug Thorley's original shop, starting in 1958, that really brought out the power in their early Hemis, B/RB and LA-series V8s--and let's not forget their 426 Hemi headers!
Now, Doug's Headers has something a lot of you will be especially interested in: Long-tube headers for modern Hemis (5.7/6.1 & 6.4L) swapped into E-Bodies and '68-later B-Body Plymouths and Dodges.
New from the original Doug's Headers: Their tuned long-tube headers (Part # D4477) specifically designed to fit the modern 5.7/6.1/6.4 Hemi engines in very confining engine compartment environments, and still give the maximum ground clearance possible.
They'll fit your E-Body ('70-'74 Challenger/Barracuda) or these '68-later B-Bodies ('68-74 Charger/Coronet/Belvedere/Super Bee/GTX/Road Runner, '75-'77 Fury), using most of the common engine mounting kits on the market. (Want to find out which other late B-Body Mopars these'll fit? Call the Doug's Headers/Pertronix tech support crew at (909) 547-9058.)
These headers are built with 3/8-inch-thick flanges at the cylinder head, and three-bolt outlet flanges. The four-tube under-chassis exit design is made from 16 gauge tubing for durability, with 1 5/8-inch primaries and 3-inch collectors for increased horsepower and torque in the midrange. They'll fit automatic and manual-transission-equipped cars, and they'll work with power brakes, power steering and air conditioning.
They come standard with a polished high luster heat and corrosion resistant metallic ceramic coating for a rich appearance and long life (or uncoated, if you wish), and they come ready to install with reducers, 1100º F-rated gaskets, and premium installation hardware.
