The final numbers aren't in yet, but this year's Mopars at the Strip just might be the biggest ever.

We never know what the weather is going to do to us in Las Vegas, and this year was no different as we had high winds and cool air on Saturday. Otherwise, the weather and turnout were both great for this year's Mopars at the Strip.

We wrapped up our True Street Challenge with an awards presentation this morning, and also watched some great drag racing and autocrossing. There were a lot of great show cars at this year's event, and the racecar count seemed to be up from last year. On the manufacturer's midway, Summit Racing Equipment had a great display as well as TTI, Centerforce, Petty's Garage, and many others.

The swap meet at this event is never huge, but there was a great variety and we even found a couple of pieces for our '64 Dodge project car.

Tim Spangler won our True Street Challenge with his black on black Hemi four-speed equipped '68 Charger, and Jerry Heasley photographed some killer feature cars that will be in upcoming issues of Mopar Muscle and Mopar Now. Speaking of Mopar Now, late model Hemi cars were out in force both on the tracks and in the car show.

All in all this was a great event and we had a blast. Vegas is always a good time and we hate to leave, but do so knowing that next year will be even better.

Hope you had as much fun as we did!
