We had a blast at the Mopar Nationals this year, and took our C-body convertible to Heath for the Saturday night cruise.
One of the things we love about the Mopar Nationals is the evening cruises happening on Brice Road and in the town of Heath. Saturday evening we took our big Newport to Heath to join the fun, making several laps on the strip before pulling into a parking lot to enjoy the show.
Driving a convertible has to be one of the best ways to experience the Heath cruise, as we got an unobstructed 360 degree view of all the Mopars and tire smoke along the road. There was some of everything out, but Mopars were ruling the streets and the multiple "water boxes" along the way. We saw plenty of burnouts, and even participated, and noticed the police were present, but pretty much leaving everyone alone.
Of course there are limits to how much fun you can have, and the cops would put a stop to anyone getting too crazy, but for the most part they let us do burnouts and cruise without being harassed.
Did you go to Heath? What did you think of the cruise and the Mopar Nationals this year? Let us know, and plan on road-tripping to the nats next year with us.
