Road Trip Time: Seen at Back To The '50s, Part 3

Minnesota Street Rod Association, early B-Bodies, fun in St. Paul

As "Back To The '50s" has a year cut-off of 1964, only the three earliest years of one of Ma Mopar's most-loved platforms are eligible to participate.

Come on in and take a look at some of the early B's we found as we cruised the Minnesota State Fairgrounds.....

Isn't this how you'd build a '64 Sport Fury?

This choice early B-Body: belongs to Don & Freda Snook from Knob Noster, Missouri.

One cool 383.
Almost looks like it just came out of St.Louis Assembly, didn't it?

Here's  a couple more views of their '64 Plymouth Sport Fury. (Note the AC and modern-tech radio in the dash.)

Pick a size...pick a set of custom wheels...pick a Dodge!

If you were going to build an early B-Body, wouldn't you want it to look as nice as David & Stephanie Dummon's '63 Dodge Polara (from Bloomington, MN)?

Red enough for you?

Speaking of '63 Dodges, this delicious one (shown by Roger Trapp of Albany, WI) is a '63 Dodge 440 two-door hardtop that has a surprise under its hood.

When was the last time you saw this combo under a B-Body's hood?

What's the matter? You never see AC with a big block before?

Ugly? Blue Ovals and (especially) Bow Ties are uglier.

And, if the price was right, you could take one home....like this '62 Dodge Dart wagon that wore a For Sale sign on it...

...and had this info sheet on the windshield, for potential buyers to check out.

More later!
