These are photo's of a pre-preproduction 1:18 scale die cast sample of Bud Faubel’s “The Honker”. The story goes that Bud Faubel actually drove this car when first picked up- from the delivery point in Michigan - to his shop in Pennsylvania. An AWB car in the streets and highways? What you could get away with, in 1965...!!!
We are also doing Mr Norms Grand Spaulding Dodge light blue / dark blue car, plus Dandy Dick Landy’s carburated and injected Automotive Research silver / black cars. These are 11.25" long, extremely detailed, and you pull the real metal hood pins to lift off the hood. Once the hood is off you will find the detailed tall stack fuel injected race Hemi. It has miniature spark plug wires, fuel lines, an injector pump, some throttle linkage, and even a real metal brake line to the master cylinder. Open the doors to see inside the factory beige single seat interior, featuring real cloth seat belts, a carpeted no rear seat area, white roll bar, plus a parachute pull handle on the injected cars. Then the Landy cars they have small holes in the quarter glass (air flow) replicated, as are the built in gauges in the dash. All four cars
have the moved forward K-member, open headers, rotating driveshaft, real metal leaf springs, and an opening trunk to see the big truck battery, plus battery cables. These are being produced by Die Cast Promotions / Highway 61, as Limited Editions for Supercar Collectibles (only). They look a lot like a real car, just in 1:18 scale, and they don’t leak oil. Not yet. These are licensed die cast collectibles, and are now available from Supercar Collectibles: 763/425-6020 or www.Supercar1.com
