One of the events that traditionally opens Florida's outdoor car show season, this year's Lake Mirror Car Classic gets underway on Friday, October 14 with the Budweiser Hot Rod Rendezvous  at the Lake Mirror Park Amphitheatre (a free outdoor concert with 100 hot rods on display) plus an auction preview party from 5-7 p.m.

Saturday's a huge day--there’s the Concours d’Elegance and huge (600+ cars) Downtown Auto Festival, plus a parade and display of classic wooden boat parade/display on Lake Mirror (with the boat display next to the Concours showfield).

Higgenbotham's collector-car auction rolls across the block on Saturday from 1-6 p.m., and the day's schedule also includes an interview with legendary SCCA Trans Am driver Bob Tullius (who, by the way, is the winningest Mopar driver ever in that series) and a vintage fashion show.

Then, on Sunday, October 16, there’s a Brunch and Road Tour, which gets underway at 9 a.m. at the Peggy Brown Building at Lake Mirror Park.
