1. Actually, in '67 the Dart was available with a 383. There were 229 4-speeds and 228 autos made.

2. IIRC, the 383 engine option in the Dart (and Barracuda) was a late introduction during the '67 model run...after "Mr. Norm" and his crew installed a 383 in a '67 Dart themselves, then drove it from Chicago to Highland Park, and showed the folks there that it was possible. (And, likely, that Grand Spaulding Dodge had customers waiting for it!)
