Road Trip Time: Seen at Back To The '50s, part 4

Minnesota Street Rod Association, more cool Mopars in Minnesota

Big or small...Mopar people love 'em all!

Come on in & see some more of what we saw in St. Paul at "Back To The '50s".....

This early A-Body and first-postwar-gen Chrysler share quite a company history, if nothing else!

Compare and contrast the coolness of these two: Bruce Olson's '64 Plymouth Valiant V100 2-door sedan (with bolt-on Barracuda wheel covers) from Lino Lakes, MN, and Warren Wesley's '53 Chrysler New Yorker hardtop (with Kelsey-Hayes wires) from Ham Lake, MN.

So that's not a flathead 6 under the hood? It's a cool hauler with or without the OEM engine.

Here's a primo "Pilot House" hauler: Ernest Kreger's '47 Dodge pickup, from Belvidere, FL.

What you didn't want to see in your rearview mirror back then.

In the Minnesota State Patrol's display: this restored '79 Dodge St. Regis, complete with an E58 360 four-barrel under the hood, as well as a pair of headlight doors (which a lot of cop shops either left open or took off back then).

Prius? What Prius?

Avoiding the MSP's glare: this Hemi-powered Altered, which sounded sooooo nice as it cruised past!

Another muscular Mopar up for bids with Mecum's.

Mecum Auctions had their annual St. Paul collector-car auction during Back To The '50s...if you want to see how this '71 Plymouth GTX (or any of the other Mopars in the sale) did, visit Mecum's website (www.mecum.com).

Coming up: Cool Mopars in a cool river town show!
