Road Trip Time: Seen at Back to the '50s, part 3

Minnesota Street Rod Associations, cool Mopars, Minnesota State Fairgrounds

How about some more of what we saw while wandering around "Back To The '50s" at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds?

Come on in and see....

Original? Restored? Either way, these two "Forward Look" Mopars look great.

One thing you notice at Back To The '50s is how many cars wear original or repro-original color schemes, like this "shoebox" flatty-powered '55 Plymouth Belvedere or the "Swept Wing" '58 Dodge parked next to it!

Metallic Green over Cool Vanilla...this Belvie had plenty of custom touches on it.

Wish we could've told you who showed this '52 Plymouth Belvedere hardtop (no owner's ID on the windshield)...but it's a well-done cruiser!

The first of the "letter cars"...1955 Chrysler C300

And now, an "executive hot rod:" the '55 Chrysler C-300. This restored beauty's owned by D.Gerber of Roseville, MN (just up the road from the Fairgrounds).

Just the thing to power an "Executive Hot Rod:" a 2x4 barrel-carbed Hemi!

Yes, those are 2 4-barrels atop
that FirePower Hemi, which helped bump the engine's peak hp to the magic 300 number.

More (including why some later-model Mopars were there) later!
