How many pre-'65 cars and trucks were on hand for Back To The '50s this year in St. Paul, MN?
Come in & I'll not only tell you, but I'll also show you some of the cool Mopars that were on hand....
When registration closed on Saturday of BTT50s weekend, 11,731 pre-1965 cars and trucks had registered. (Also, per the Minnesota Street Rod Association (MSRA), who put on this extravaganza...again.... over 125,000 spectators came through the gates, and there were 350 vendors around the fairgrounds, with their displays set up inside the Grandstand, in buildings or on "Machinery Hill," and over 300 swappers who brought their stuff to the Sunday-only swap meet.)
That 11,000+ number of participating rides included this traditional hot rod, which looks like an interesting driver. You need may Plastigauge to measure ground clearance....but it's got a Hemi (a first-gen Chrysler FirePower)!
It also included this "untraditional" rod. Maybe there was nothing more that could have been done to save that '60 Plymouth wagon!
We'll have more later...including some choice early B-Bodies & Exner-era Plymouths that would make you forget all about "Christine!"
