ten bucks says this guy is going to the mud bog . . .

Most of us enjoyed the Labor Day weekend relaxing and enjoying the US Nationals, but what about the following weekend? Our local motorsports park might have the answer.

We like to frequent our local eighth mile dragstrip at Lakeland Motorsports Park, but to us racing is a family event. So when we heard the advertisement that the adjacent mud bog was holding an event named "Beer, bongs, and thongs", we respecfully decided to spend our weekend elsewhere.

While the dragstrip is technically a seperate venue, the drunks from the mud bog eventually wander over to the pits, tracking mud and filth around, setting a very poor example for my kids, and spilling beer on the race cars. Also, I'm guessing that since local sheriff Grady Judd is fairly in tune with his community, that he might just send a few officers out as the likelyhood of making public intoxication, public nudity, vulgar behavior, and reefer arrests has got to be almost guaranteed at an event called "Beer, Bongs, and Thongs" held at a mud pit.

Anybody have any ideas for a family friendly automotive event this weekend? Anyone? Someone? Do you even read these blogs? Can you find them on our site? 

Hmmm. Guess maybe we'll stay home and watch the grass grow.
