Testing...testing...is this thing on?
Yes it is, if it's this ultra-rare '69 Dodge Charger Daytona that came out of Mario Rossi's stable way back when. It's one of the "star cars" at Mecum's Kissimmee (FL) auction this weekend.
When word got out that NASCAR was going to mandate smaller engines in the "aero warriors," car owner Mario Rossi had this one built for his driver, Bobby Allison, to test at Daytona and Talladega.
Here you see it, in its restored glory, at Kissimmee, where Mecum's will auction it tomorrow.
Speaking of Bobby Allison, he and his brother Donnie will be on hand for an autograph session with the car tomorrow afternoon....get more info at www.mecum.com (Click on "Kissimmee").
