Remember the "Forward Look" Mopars we showed you not too long ago...that were set to cross the block at Mecum's "'57 Heaven" Museum closeout auction in Branson, Missouri?
Here are the Chryslers (with an Imperial & a Dual-Ghia) once again, with their "hammer prices," per the folks at the Mecum Auction Company.
The "big cars" and prestige Chryslers, Imperials and Mopar-powered exotica drew some of the biggest bids of the entire "'57 Heaven" museum dispersal auction.
The sole Chrysler-badged wagon, a New Yorker, sold for $25,000.
The other New Yorker in the sale, this droptop, drew a winning bid of $190,000.
The "Executive Hot Rod" 300C convertible, 392 Hemi and all, crossed the block for $125,000.
(Speaking of 392s, this 392 "FirePower" Hemi display engine sold for $6,000 by itself.)
This Imperial convertible, complete with Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels, found a new home with plenty of room inside (and a buyer who had room in his wallet for the $120,000 winning bid).
And the Top Seller of the Mecum "'57 Heaven" museum dispersal auction was this ultra-rare Dual Ghia, which wears an Exner-designed, handcrafted (by Ghia) body atop a Dodge chassis and powertrain. This mint example sold for $300,000--the highest bid of the sale.
