How about the BIG Mopars going up for bids at Mecum's "'57 Heaven" museum close-out auction, coming up on October 24th at the Dick Clark Theatre in Branson, Missouri?

Let's start with the car that legendary automotive scribe Tom McCahill called "The Executive Hot Rod"

You betcha that's a Chrysler 300C convertible...up for bids at no reserve, yet!

'57 Chrysler "FirePower" 392 Hemi engine

This is what you'll find under the 300C's hood: the 392 Hemi! This engine-on-a-stand is also going up for bids.

Another Exner-Era example of Forward Look finery, also set to cross the block at Branson: this '57 Chrysler New Yorker convertible:

Upscale hauler? Yep, there's one crossing the block at Branson, too: This '57 Chrysler New Yorker wagon.

'57 Imperial convertible

'57 was the first year that Imperial was built on its own platform (and the third year that it was a separate brand apart from Chrysler). This Imperial convertible--almost as big as the Navy's escort carriers were back then--is in the Branson sale.
