The black '70 Dodge Charger that Vin Diesel drove in the the first of the "Fast & Furious" flicks sold at auction at Monterey for BIG bucks!

Built, filmed, crashed, restored...now the VIn DIesel-drivern Charger from the first "Fast & Furious" film's been sold at auction for $200,000. (Courtesy Mecum Auctions)

The fully-restored Charger (It needed it after what it went through in the movie!--Scott) crossed the block at Mecum's Monterey Auction, held in conjunction with the Rolex Monterey Historic Races, the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, and the nearly-two-dozen car shows, cruises and other events on Northern California's Monterey Peninsula.

Hammer price for the much-modified Charger (which boasts a blown 528-inch Hemi with Indy aluminum heads, TBS supercharger anf F.A.S.T. electronic fuel injection, among other goodies) was $200,000. That's not including buyers'/sellers' commissions and California sales tax.

Get the results from Mecum's Monterey auction, or see what events are coming up on the Mecum Auctions calendar, when you visit www.mecum.com.
