We couldn't believe we saw this minivan parked like this, guess who's it was?
When a foreign national named Akmed Patel (ficticious name as I don't know his real one) purchased the local Marathon station, I thought great, a local store where I can do business to better my community.
So when the store first opened I started purchasing fuel there. But then I noticed that the sign by the road would say one price, but the pump was charging more so I stopped buying fuel from Mr. Patel.
I still wanted to encourage local business, however, and also liked having a store close in case I needed something, so I would purchase beverages there. But then I noticed that I was being charged and extra dollar just for using my ATM card for the purchase, so I stopped buying drinks and food from Mr. Patel.
I've noticed that the Marathon station isn't very busy, so I thought "I'll give him another chance." When I pulled into the station, I saw a minivan oddly parked on the sidewalk, blocking the handicap ramp.
I went in and asked "Who's minivan is parked on the sidewalk?" The reply "Mine". Mr. Patel stated that since the sun is hot in Florida, parking there keeps his van in the shade. When asked about handicapped customers, Mr. Patel waved his hand and said "I move it for them" with a grin, so I told him what I thought of him and walked out
On behalf of handicapped drivers everywhere, I will no longer be doing business with Mr. Patel.
