Operation Homefront and Dollar Tree have teamed up to help military families get their children ready to go back to school by collecting new school supplies for children of all ages.

Operation Homefront

The 3,600+ Dollar Tree stores around the country will be collecting school supplies from now through this coming Saturday (July 25), with a goal of collecting enough school supplies to fill 15,000 backpacks. Dollar Tree customers will be given the opportunity to purchase school supplies for military families. Once the items are purchased, they can be placed into a drop box located near the checkout counters.

“Dollar Tree is proud to be a national sponsor of Operation Homefront,” said Dollar Tree's Chelle Davis. “Our military neighbors do so much for us that we are honored to give back in this small way.”

Operation Homefront volunteers will collect and distribute all donated items. In locations where Operation Homefront does not have a chapter, volunteers will provide local Family Readiness Groups with school supplies for their command families.
