We've heard about a restoration project that's not your typical rust-off/new-stuff-on resto.

This one's being done for someone special--and the target date for completion is coming up in a hurry.

Hi Mr. Bolig,
 
I wanted to let you know about this if you already do not know.

We are involved in a Make A Wish project that is building a '69 Charger for 16-year-old Ronni Steves of New York. She has leukemia, and her wish was for a ‘69 Charger which several volunteers are building. Parts are needed to complete this project. I spoke to Mike Meeks about it yesterday, and anything that you could do to spread the word in the Mopar world, please do so. We placed it on our blog and it’s about to be uploaded on our website today.

By the way, I am a longtime Mopar guy and I subscribe to your magazine. I enjoyed your rant a few months ago and have one myself coming out on our new edition newsletter at www.vintagefans.com  entitled "So long Mopar, the General and the American Way?"  Your rant helped push me over the edge and I appreciate that. Looking on the vintagefans.com site's blog this morning, we see that Auto Metal Direct has donated a BIG bunch of reproduction sheetmetal, and other recent contributors to this project include Randy's Ring & Pinion, Auto City Classics, Joe Gibbs Racing, and Gunslinger.
