We've heard about a restoration project that's not your typical rust-off/new-stuff-on resto.
This one's being done for someone special--and the target date for completion is coming up in a hurry.
Here's a letter we received recently--we'll update you below on what's happened lately:

------------------------------------------------------------------ From: mark@vintagefans.com To: Bolig, Randy Subject: 69 Charger Build for Make A Wish Foundation Ronni Steves
Hi Mr. Bolig, I wanted to let you know about this if you already do not know.
We are involved in a Make A Wish project that is building a '69 Charger for 16-year-old Ronni Steves of New York. She has leukemia, and her wish was for a ‘69 Charger which several volunteers are building. Parts are needed to complete this project. I spoke to Mike Meeks about it yesterday, and anything that you could do to spread the word in the Mopar world, please do so. We placed it on our blog and it’s about to be uploaded on our website today.
Please see our blog to read about it.(Go to www.vintagefans.com, then click on "Blog".) Thanks so much for any help you could provide. We are trying to have it built to present to her at the Mopar Nats. By the way, I am a longtime Mopar guy and I subscribe to your magazine. I enjoyed your rant a few months ago and have one myself coming out on our new edition newsletter at www.vintagefans.com entitled "So long Mopar, the General and the American Way?" Your rant helped push me over the edge and I appreciate that. Thanks again! Best Regards, Mark Neeley Vintage Fans, L.L.C. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Looking on the vintagefans.com site's blog this morning, we see that Auto Metal Direct has donated a BIG bunch of reproduction sheetmetal, and other recent contributors to this project include Randy's Ring & Pinion, Auto City Classics, Joe Gibbs Racing, and Gunslinger.
Per Mark Neeley's blog, this project is being coordinated by Mike Meeks...if you have any parts that you'd like to donate to the project (or other talents to assist the crew that's working on this Charger as you read this), call Mike directly at (585) 330-1618.
And make a Mopar lover's wish come true!

Chrysler Pacifica Research
Car and Truck pricing can be complicated and sometimes confusing. As an authority on car buying needs we provide information about new cars, such as the Chrysler Pacifica and all the features it comes with. Fuel efficiency is important and the 2008 Pacifica with a 23.0 gallon main unleaded fuel tank 19.1 capacity gets 18 mpg, and comes with a standard Automatic transmission, and AWD drivetrain. Other similar vehicles are the Dodge Nitro and the Jeep Compass.
