Oregon Trooper Nabs Six Speeding Ferraris and Lamborghinis, by Himself

(MT. HOOD, Ore.) - It seems logical that writing up a Ferrari or Lamborghini for speeding would be pretty cool for a traffic cop. Great stories to share with the boys and all that stuff, but what about a cop nabbing six of the speeding Italian sports cars single-handedly?

As it turns out the drivers didn't give him any trouble, but I still fail to understand* how he was able to get six at once.

Oregon State Police Senior Trooper David Peterson cited the drivers of six exotic sports cars for speed racing Thursday morning when he spotted the vehicles at a high rate of speed on Highway 18 near Grand Ronde.

And if that wasn't enough, over two hours later, one of the same vehicles was stopped again by OSP in the Columbia River Gorge for a high speed violation. But that is what you're supposed to do in a car like this...right?

Peterson got the call today at approximately 11:15 a.m. He says he set up on Highway 18 east of Grand Ronde, and observed 5 of the vehicles pass by him at a high rate of speed. As he accelerated onto Highway 18, a sixth vehicle reportedly passed his (DODGE CHARGER!) patrol car at high speed.

By himself, the Senior Trooper stopped all six vehicles and cited the drivers for Speed Racing.

He said the drivers were cooperative and told the trooper there was a total of 20 similar vehicles traveling together on an annual road trip. One of the stopped drivers was from Washington State and the other drivers were from Canada.

Just to keep things interesting, over two hours later, one of the same vehicles stopped by Senior Trooper Peterson, a 2004 Lamborghini with Alberta license plate "BADBUL", was stopped about 1:45 p.m. on Interstate 84 eastbound near Multnomah Falls by OSP Sergeant Tom Worthy (WHO WAS DRIVING A DODGE CHARGER!) for going 90 mph in a 65 mph zone.
