Stooooopid Alert: California Wants To Ban Black Cars

CA Air Resources Board, brain-dead bureaucrats, nanny-state BS

That's right, Mopar lovers...the ever-watchful California Air Resources Board wants to ban black-painted cars and trucks starting in 2012, in yet another misguided attempt to cure so-called "global warming."

If you can stand it, read the Board's proposal at

http://www.arb.ca.gov/cc/cool-paints/final_cool_cars_workshop_presentation31209.pdf

The only way that anyone'll get my black car away from me is to pry it from my cold, dead fingers!

A comment period opens on May 11, and the proposed "final regulations" will be released then.

The Board think that too many people use their A/C on hot days, and thus put more "greenhouse gases" into the air. (If you believe that, I have an old bridge in Brooklyn that I'll sell you cheap--and I'll throw in the Love Canal for free!)

One big problem: The pigments that the paint-makers are experimenting with to meet this standard tend to look like a pile of what a rhinocerous leaves behind. Which is exactly what people with a functioning brain DON'T want their cars to look like.
