Those of you who read my blogs know that I hate traffic and the accidents that cause daily problems and delays on Interstate 4. I've noticed a trend lately thought that could be a side effect of the failing economy.

There's a good reason that traffic in central Florida sucks, it's because too many people are crowded onto roads that can't handle the traffic.

Of course there are also drivers who don't pay attention, talk on the phone, text their friends, work on their laptops, shave their legs or face, develop powerpoint presentations, clean their guns, apply make up, read the newspaper, read novels, or take pictures while driving . . . but I digress.

I've noticed lately, however, that the traffic is thining. Not because the snowbirds are moving back north, it's too early for that. I think it's because so many people have been laid off that not as many people are going to work. Not that people getting laid off is a good thing, I mean if you leave the word "off" off of that last sentance then it would be a good thing, funny how one word changes a sentance from positive to negative . . . but I digress.

Anyway, until all the laid off people go back to work, I'll enjoy a relaxing ride on I-4 without as much traffic.
