Over the years, Ma Mopar's made some cars and trucks that you have to look at twice...because of the styling, or because of the factory-installed hardware in and on it....like you see on these beauties that recently graced Mopar Muscle's "Penta Stars:"
440 Street Van (Like Wow, Man!)
Who: Turk Where: Denver, Colorado What: 1978 Dodge B-200 LWB “Street Van”
Turk found it in the back row of a used car lot in Denver, where it sat for over a year—during that time, bums lived in it. The body was rust free, the paint was rough, but it had only 58,000 miles showing on the odometer.
After paying $400 for it, he towed it home, de-bummed and cleaned the interior, and discovered the factory-installed 440 in the engine bay. It took a little work, but it fired right up!
After buffing out the original paint, he replaced the original white side striping with a set of black stripes, and he upgraded the OEM 440 with a Mopar Performance orange box ignition and M-1 dual plane intake (topped by a Holley 750 double pumper), Hedman Hedders and a custom 2 ½-inch side exhaust.
The Turbine wheels—which are VERY period correct for a ’78—were found at a local used wheel outlet in Denver.
Saskatchewan Scamp

Who: Dallas Cancade Where: Weyburn, Saskatchewan, Canada What: ’76 Plymouth Scamp
A couple years ago, Dallas’ father bought this Scamp. It was a 70,000 mile car with its original 225 Slant Six under the hood, the original interior still inside it, and one repaint since new. Unfortunately, he passed away a few months later, so Dallas finished the car in his memory, hoping to hand it down to his son one day.
A built-up 340 has replaced the Leaning Tower of Power, while the 904 got a rebuild to handle the added torque and horsepower now coming its way. To the original interior, Dallas added new carpets, a floor-mounted shifter for the 904, and a set of gauges to augment the oil pressure/ammeter/gas gauges the Scamp got on the line at St. Louis Assembly.
Outside, the changes include a set of chrome five-spokes on BFGoodrich Radial T/A’s, and a ’73-’74 vintage grille to replace the horizontal-patterned one that this final-year A-Body was built with.
