Of the Plymouths, Dodges, Chryslers and Dodge Trucks we featured in Mopar Muscle's "Penta Stars section recently, here are some that are worth another look.
Who: Gary Boone Where: Johnson City, Tennessee What: ’72 Dodge Demon 340
When Gary found this numbers-matching Demon 340 a few years back, it had been around—from Hamtramck Assembly, to a dealer in Sacramento, to Tennessee. It was solid from top to bottom, but in need of freshening.
Gary and his brother rebuilt the 340, boring it .030-inch and treating it to a pair of X heads and original 340 hi-po exhaust manifolds, while keeping the original Carter ThermoQuad four-barrel.
APEX Body Shop in nearby Elizabethton, Tennessee sprayed on a new coat of V2 Hemi Orange paint, set off by a repro hood stripe. Per Gary, this is an original side-stripe-delete car, documented by the broadcast sheet and window sticker found in the Demon when he bought it.
Inside, the door panels, carpet and headliner are the originals, with a set of Legendary seat covers now gracing the original seats. Other original pieces include the Rallye wheels and exterior chrome.
Multi-Generation Mopar Family

Who: Roger Boersen, Jeff Boersen & Jacob DeWeerd Where: Redlands, CA What: '70 Duster & '69 Road Runner Since Roger has always driven Mopars (thanks to his dad, who’s owned nothing else since ’54), it was natural that son Jeff's first car is a Mopar— a '69 Road Runner. It originally was B5 Blue, but is now closer to "Petty Blue." The 383 got a 282 Extreme Energy cam, Edelbrock RPM intake and heads, headers, electronic ignition, and a Holley 770. They rebuilt the 727, added a 3000 stall converter, and put 3.90 gears in back.
After working on Jeff's Road Runner, Roger decided that he needed his own car. Roger upgraded the ’70 Duster’s 318 with Edelbrock heads and RPM Air Gap intake, 262 XE cam, headers, and a Carter AVS carburetor. He also added 4.10 gears and frame rail connectors to make the four-speed more effective. The Boersen's are counting on Jacob to be a fourth generation Mopar fan in the family!

Chrysler Pacifica Research
Car and Truck pricing can be complicated and sometimes confusing. As an authority on car buying needs we provide information about new cars, such as the Chrysler Pacifica and all the features it comes with. Fuel efficiency is important and the 2008 Pacifica with a 23.0 gallon main unleaded fuel tank 19.1 capacity gets 18 mpg, and comes with a standard Automatic transmission, and AWD drivetrain. Other similar vehicles are the Dodge Nitro and the Jeep Compass.
