Because we can all agree that the new Challenger could only be better with more power.

Some of you out there in the car world may have heard talk coming from the Chrysler Corporation about the Dodge Viper. It's being considered for termination or sale of the name. While most of us don't really care about a car we can't afford, it's still an amazing piece of machinery that hit the Corvette hard, creating a strong following and rivalry. If the Viper does leave the marque, Dodge still has this incredibly powerful - albeit gas hungry - V10 they developed for it.

Now we all know that Dodge successfully transplanted this engine into a Dodge Ram, resulting in the worlds fastest truck. Now, Chrysler's Street and Racing Technology has gone crazy. The engine is up on power this year and Dodge has a brand new car that is begging for more umph - possibly because it's one of the heaviest muscle/sports cars I have ever driven.

Enter stage left, the Dodge Challenger SRT-10 Concept.

With 600 hp, 580 lb/ft of tire-dissolving torque, this concept can't help but bring a boyish smile to your face. The front end has been reworked to improve downforce and increase airflow over the radiator. Another new addition is the entirely functional shaker hood scoop and carbon fiber hood. There is also a new spoiler out back.
