Because of the very unique shape of the hemispherical combustion chamber, less total timing is required than other motors. Due to this fact, each D.U.I. is calibrated on a distributor machine so that your mechanical advance and initial timing are set exactly where your motor needs it for maximum performance. Wider plug gaps of .050”-.055” are recommended to enhance the hemis- pherical combustion process. The D.U.I. distributor’s one-piece design is easy to install and cleans up your engine compartment. Voltage outout does not drop under load, while you are accelerating. This feature provides instant throttle response and more power. The craftsmanship is excellent and built to last. Complete with internal 50,000 Volt D.U.I. Coil and Dyna-Module. Cap and rotor feature brass terminals for improved conductivity. Works on both 426 Crate motors and early 426 production motors.
