How do you enjoy the hobby when times are tough?

We all know the economy is not the best right now. Those of us who still have our jobs are spending more money on fuel and food, and have less for our hobbies. What are some creative ways you still enjoy your Mopar when times are tough?

There's no doubt that we all have less expendable income these days, but there are some advantages to higher gas prices and the poor economy. My friend Jeff has used the downturn to his advantage, purchasing a 655 cubic inch Indy Cylinder Head all aluminum big-block for a great price from someone who couldn't afford to race any more.

Car prices are dropping too, and not just new cars. Muscle cars aren't selling for nearly what they did a few years ago. So if you've been saving and waiting for the time to be right to purchase your next project car, it might be time.

I'd say the time is right to buy a project cheap, then hunt the swap meets for bargains on parts to fix it up with. If you have a boat or motorcycle or other toy, it might be a good time to sell or trade it for a musclecar.
