With gas still nearly four bucks a gallon, most of us have lost a significant amount of expendable income, but we still went to the Mopar Nationals.
We all have less money these days as gas prices have affected the cost of not only driving our cars, but also the cost of groceries, electricity, toasters, chainsaws, furniture, fishing lures, pencils, clothing, hats, car parts, and everything else that gets delivered by truck.
But if you were at the Mopar Nationals this year it was pretty much business as usual. The swap meet and car coral were huge, probably bigger than last year which makes sense because people are selling the stuff they don't use to buy gasoline. The car show seemed to be about the same size as last year, but the race car count was obviously down. And who can blame them with race fuel hovering aroung ten bucks a gallon.
