Ever notice how rude people are on the roads these days?
Back in the good old days, people weren't in such a hurry. They looked at driving as an experience, not just a way to get from point A to point B in the shortest amount of time. Back then the most distracting thing people did in their cars was to look at scenery or yell at their kids. Now people multi-task by talking on cell phones, shaving, reading, and working on laptop computers.
It sure was more relaxing driving in a time when people would move over and let you merge or wave you through a stop sign even though they got there first. Back when truckers would stop to help motorists instead of tailgating them and making them nervous.
Maybe the good old days still exist somewhere, but not on I-4 between Lakeland and Tampa.
