Can anyone really predict the future?
Besides wasting time at stop lights, another waste of time is trying to predict the future. People do it all the time, saying things like "one day everyone will drive a car-plane". The car plane was invented, but not many people bought them.
I feel like I'm wasting time when I'm in the bathroom, most people do, I think, that's why most bathrooms I've been in have plenty of reading material. There are usually newspapers, magazines, and sometimes books in the bathrooms I've seen, and it's a good way to make productive use of your time in there, by reading. Most of the smart people I know read.
Someone once said magazines and newspapers would go away once the internet was invented. But as long as smart people want to read, especially in bathrooms, I don't think it will happen. Whoever said that probably got fired later once the company figured out it wasn't true. And I'm sure glad newspapers didn't go away because I use them when I'm painting cars . . . but I digress.
I guess maybe in the future there will be computers in every bathroom so people can read there. I hope not though because for some reason that would be way more disgusting than reading magazines.
